


Celebrating 60 years in Hawaii 1965 - 2025!




On September 27, 1965, a petition for Charter of Incorporation was filed for a non-profit corporation under the name Gypsum Drywall Contractors of Hawaii and on November 18, 1965, this entity was incorporated.

On June 19,1998, Articles of Amendment to Change Corporate Name from Gypsum Drywall Contractors of Hawaii to Hawaii Wall & Ceiling Industry Association (HWCIA) was approved and incorporated.

The objectives of the HWCIA shall be to represent membership and promote the welfare of the Wall and Ceiling Industry with recognition and acceptance of the Industry Standards. To provide the membership with assistance, communications, educational programs and services for the purpose of creating success for themselves as members and improving fellowship. To promote just and equitable principles in business conduct by the members in their relations with each other and the public and to effect harmony in the industry.
